Course Introduction
Green Entrepreneurship is an innovative approach for maximizing economic opportunities available through climate change adaptation and mitigation strategies. These economic opportunities pave the way for green entrepreneurship which includes adopting more efficient renewable energy sources, strategic tree planting activities, radical awareness approach of information dissemination, adopting good waste management and recycling strategies, etc. To succeed, entrepreneurs must see possibilities and solutions to environmental problems, climate change and global warming issues through green entrepreneurship, where an average person can only see these as impediments and obstacles.
Owing to the growing awareness of environmental challenges, sustainable development and green economy; individuals, corporations and many institutions are becoming more responsive towards the environments and responsible to changing consumer behaviour towards green products and the perception of green products which creates opportunities for the development of the green market. These drives for sustainable entrepreneurial investments as well created the platform for eco- innovations and green consumption. Eco-innovation encourages and advocates the incorporation of environmentally sustainable practices at every stage of production.
The planned training would expose every participant to trends in green marketing, opportunities and strategies that are relevant for various phases of entrepreneurship life cycle and skills needed in green enterprise management, as a pathway towards sustainable development.
